Video Conference Sales
Small and growing SF based video conference equipment sales and consulting company is looking to find videoconference sales professionals. Candidate must have proven experience selling or installing video conference equipment (Polycom, Tandberg, LifeSize), as well as related LCD and plasma displays and associated AV (audio-visual equipment). Persons with network bridge equipment preferred (MGC, CISCO, Radvision. others). Candidate should be familiar with configuration of price quotations, etc.
This is a ground floor opportunity, for the right person, to join a two year old start-up corporation and be part of the initial team whose goal is to accelerate the growth of the company. VCI is looking for the “right” video conference professional(s) to join our team, either as direct employee or independent contractor.
Duties will include:
1) Review daily incoming bid/sales opportunities & input qualified leads into database.
2) Produce technical price bid quotations for large opportunities, and complex Federal Government bids, with follow-up to close of sale.
3) In producing price quotations make contact with manufacturers, distributors and product resellers.
4) Develop and implement ongoing phone and e-mail campaign to selected Federal Government agencies, major corporations (Fortune 1000), and prime contractors.
6) Assist in development of overall sales/marketing campaign.
Personal Requirements:
Looking for a person that has good work habits, is organized, energetic, with upbeat positive personality. Person should be highly motivated, and a self starter.
Good verbal & writing skills. Job requires good telephone and sales prospecting skills for making initial contact calls and follow-up sales calls. Job requires good writing skills, for creating well written sales and promotion letters, for use in direct mail and e-mail sales campaigns.
PC knowledge a must, person should be technology savvy — candidate should be familiar with use of daily e-mail using Microsoft Outlook, and/or ACT, and use of Internet. Candidate should have experience using Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.
Person with e-mail and web site marketing, and/or ad campaign experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Work Experience:
Four years direct high technical sales (preferred video conference equipment sales experience). Minimum two years sales work experience is acceptable, if person can prove he/she has the skills and drive to successful with the company.
Video conferencing, audio-visual, or telecommunications industry experience preferred, but not necessary if person has exceptional sales/marketing experience in other industry.
Education:
BA college degree preferred, minimum two year college degree, or with equivalent work experience.
